I think these would make great cake toppers, and you would also be supporting the handmade scene. This artist is really talented. I wonder if the artist would consider custom making birds in a specific color of pattern, to match a couple’s theme? The little legs are so cute, and the best part is that this cake topper would then become a decorative piece in your home afterwards, without looking like too wedding-cake-topperish. Know what I mean?

For UK readers out there who are looking for a Wedding Cake Designer, or for anyone who wants a great idea to share with their own cake vendor, check out these compact, adorable mini cakes by Tracey’ s Cakes, who is a UK wedding industry finalist in ‘08.
Cupcakes are out anyway, and these are similarly, if not more appealing to the eye with the spotless, uniform ganache.
Tracey’s Cakes does other types of Wedding Cakes, and I particularly liked this bold and modern color scheme.
